Trás-os-Montes

The Azibo River, a tributary of the Sabor River, is the source of the Sabor Dam, which was built in the early 1980s. This dam creates an ecosystem conducive to numerous species of migratory birds, attracting many ornithologists and nature enthusiasts throughout the year. The Azibo Protected Landscape Area is part of the Natura 2000 Network.
